Orlando Hudson came up next and, after Rizzo stole third, hit a high-bouncer to third that Moustakas charged, but he couldn't handle the short hop and the ball deflected off his glove and into foul territory, allowing Rizzo to score and giving San Diego a 4-1 lead.

Chris Jakubauskas (2-1) worked five innings in defeat for the Orioles, giving up five runs on seven hits while fanning a pair and walking three.

Nick Markakis accounted for the only run with an RBI double for the Orioles, who have lost seven of their past 11 games.

Baltimore got a run back in the third on Markakis' RBI double. After J.J. Hardy singled, Markakis followed by driving a ball into the right-center gap to close the deficit to 4-1.
